A beautiful watch, the Royal Oak Tourbillon is definitely something only connoisseurs would get. Such a remarkable piece of craftsmanship is definitely hard to copy but fortunately for those who cannot afford one, there are some good replicas out there.

Here we have two watches from this series, a replica watch and an original one and they have been put side by side for comparison. There are a total of 4 differences between these two watches and starting with the bezel we have the first. It seems that there is a slightly different bezel on the replica watch, a bulky one with the edges not as rounded as the one on the original watch.

The next difference is on the left chronograph that seems to be showing different numbers on the replica watch; so we have the numbers 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 on the original watch and numbers 1,2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 on the replica watch. Also, the design on the lower chronograph is also different as it seems to be smaller on the replica watch, less detailed and with a gold edge, while the original features a more contrasted, no edge and bigger design.  The chronograph on the right is also different on the original watch when compared to the replica watch, making this the forth difference and the last when it comes to these watches. On the replica watch we can see the following sequence of numbers on the right chronograph: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 31 while on the original watch the numbers are slightly different: 05, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30. However, these differences don’t set the watches apart too much and the replica could easily pass as an original watch as long as it is not put side by side to one.
